Dr. Sandra Harper has served as president of McMurry University in Texas since 2013. Prior to McMurry, Dr. Harper served as the President of Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Communication at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Oklahoma City University, and as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at McMurry. She also previously served as a faculty member in the communication and theater department at McMurry. 

 

Dr. Harper earned her B.S. from Texas Tech University and her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of North Texas. 

 

She and her husband Dave have two sons and six grandchildren.
